Please note that students do pay FICA taxes (Social Security & Medicare Taxes) during the summer, but are exempt from paying these during the academic school year.
Below is a list of jobs that are available on campus this summer. You can click on the job title to connect to a brief summary of the job duties and qualifications. This site will be updated as new jobs become available, so check back often!
Please note: All summer jobs are paid under UWP (university funds). So, if you have been awarded FWS (Federal Work Study) as part of your financial aid package, disregard that for the summer...you are eligible for all UWP jobs in the summer.
If you are interested in summer housing, it is available (limited) on a first come/first served basis. You must also work a minimum of 20 hours on campus. A "per day" amount will be charged for room and meals. A form will need to be signed by your supervisor/s and hours will be tracked throughout the summer. ****SUMMER WAGE INCREASE INFO****
The wage rates listed below include a $3.00 per hour summer increase for hourly positions worked on or after May 5, 2008. Any positions that continue into the fall will drop back by $3.00 effective August 24, 2008.
(Food Services increases vary.)
