Completing Job Approval Forms


A Job Approval Form (JAF) must be completed for each student you hire and each new position they take. If the student will be working two jobs within the same department, you can note both jobs on one JAF (list both the primary job title and the secondary job title, and the number of scheduled hours for each job). Please complete all parts of the JAF. When completing the index and account number, it is important to use the correct account number for either Federal Work Study (-6312) or University Work Program (-6311) funds. Be sure to note the payroll deadlines when submitting your JAFs so your student employee can be paid as soon as possible after beginning work.

Once you receive the pink copy of the JAF from the Student Employment Office, you know your student employee has been set up in Banner and your student may begin entering time in Bannerweb.  Review your copy of the JAF for any changes that have been made to either rate of pay or account numbers. Please make note of the changes in your records.
