Student Employment Information

Find a Job on Campus

There are several ways you can locate a job on campus:

  • Check out the Job Opportunities posted on Workday. The page is updated on a regular basis, so please check back often. The list of available jobs includes a brief description of the job duties and qualifications, the salary, and whom you should contact if you are interested in applying.
  • Speak directly with a department for whom you are interested in working. If you know of a department or office where you would like to work, check with them to see if they have any positions available.
  • Attend the Student Employment Job Fair which is held every year on the first week of fall classes. It provides an opportunity for you to speak directly with representatives from the many departments on campus who hire student employees.

Interview

The supervisor will review the applications and call you for an interview, if selected.

Complete Tax and I-9 Paperwork

If this is your first on-campus job, visit Human Resources to complete pre-employment paperwork and gain Workday access to start working. Bring original I-9 documents (copies are not accepted), such as a Social Security card, passport, or birth certificate. For more details, review the new student onboarding guide.

Workday Access

Only students with an active job can log into Workday. If you cannot access Workday:

  • New U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Student Employees: Visit HR to submit your physical and unexpired I-9 documents. See eligible documents here.
  • New International Student Employees: Meet with Devon Slough to submit your required paperwork.
  • Returning Students without a Fall '24 Job: Your manager needs to request reactivation via Workday.

Updating Your Workday Profile

  • If your Workday profile has incorrect info (e.g., manager, job title), submit a ticket here.
  • If you do not see your job listed, check with your manager before submitting a ticket.

Clocking In/Out

  • Always clock in/out using Workday. If you have multiple jobs, select the correct one when recording your hours.
  • Forget to clock in/out? Let your supervisor know – they can adjust your time.
