New Student Employees
Once you have received a job offer, students who have not previously worked on campus must complete all pre-employment paperwork and present proper I-9 identification. Students who have worked a university job do not need to complete pre-employment paperwork unless you have unenrolled from the University and are returning.
What do I need to do to start work on campus?
Step 1) Complete the I-9, State Tax, and Federal Income Tax forms on your Workday profile. Start getting your original document(s) that meet the I-9 requirements. You will need to bring these documents to Human Resources in Weinstein Hall.
Step 2) Students who are U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents must bring your unexpired, original I-9 documents with you to Human Resources. A list of acceptable I-9 documents can be found here.
International Students can follow the steps listed here.
You cannot begin working on campus until you have completed these steps.
Step 3) If you would like your paycheck direct deposited, you can complete the Direct Deposit Authorization form through Workday or you can visit the Payroll office in Maryland Hall.
Step 4) Please view the Student Handbook before starting your first job.
Step 5) Work with your supervisor to decide on your first day of employment. Once you begin work, you will check-in and check-out for every shift worked using Workday. Information on clocking-in and out can be found here.
