Student Employment

At the University of Richmond, student employees are integral to the university's daily rhythm and vibrant community with over 1,600 student employees holding approximately 2,700 jobs reporting to around 300 managers. Their contributions resonate in nearly every corner of university life, with some of the largest employers including Retail Dining (boasting over 250 student employees), the Student Success Center/Weinstein Learning Center, Athletics, and Arts & Sciences (each employing over 200 students). Beyond these areas, students are vital in areas like the Center for Civic Engagement, New Student and Transition Programs, the Law School, Residence Life & Student Housing, Admissions, and Health and Wellbeing. From assisting with research and providing essential library services to supporting event operations, managing information desks, and guiding new Spiders through orientation, the skills honed in these diverse roles are invaluable, equipping students for future success while simultaneously ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the institution.
